Client Background
As a dominate competitor in their field, Sonic Pathology Australia continues to progress by implementing innovative technology as the core basis of their new brand. Their business which has seen huge expansion off the back of the COVID-19 Pandemic has resulted in the requirement to expand their corporate headquarters to reside alongside Sonic Healthcare’s headquarters in Grosvenor Place Sydney.
Points of Note
CRCPG were appointed to act as the Project Superintendent for the duration of the Project, completing not only the construction phase of the project, but also the new workplace strategy and space planning for Sonic Pathology as it worked to reintroduce staff to working in the office post-COVID-19.
As this firm highly encompasses the use of technology within their practice, CRCPG collaborated with I.T. and AV consultants, architects, designers and furniture suppliers to ensure that the space delivered in Grosvenor place reflected Sonic Pathology’s business needs. There were intense negotiations and updates with the Landlord as this project was an integrated fitout with all works occurring simultaneously. This required immediate and clear co-ordination of all stakeholders.
Acting as the project superintendent, CRCPG were responsible for selecting and overseeing the entire design team and, the architects and the builder ensuring CRCPG were accountable and responsible for delivering the end result to the client.
The Result
Delivering the project in a tumultuous COVID-19 impacted market, CRCPG actively monitored the construction programme ensuring all communication streams were consistent, ensuring no delays occurred onsite.
Assisting with the successful relocation, CRCPG were able to relocate the client to their new premises at the beginning of February 2022. To the satisfaction of the client, CRCPG delivered the construction and fitout project on budget with the end result providing Sonic with a fantastic new office for years to come.
